Leading lady Jennifer Lawrence has sold the Santa Monica, CA, starter condo she bought in 2006 soon after she arrived in Hollywood to begin her fast rise to stardom.
Variety reports that Lawrence’s two-bedroom condo sold for $1.15 million, just a smidge under the $1.169 million asking price. Lawrence bought the two-story home for $879,000 in 2006, a mere five years before she would collect her first Oscar nomination for her leading role in “Winter’s Bone.”
Sold on July 28, the 1,413-square-foot condo—just 20 blocks from the beach—features wide-plank hardwood floors, a two-car garage, a gas fireplace, and dining room glass sliders that lead to a fenced patio.

Lawrence, who just turned 26, is building up her real estate portfolio. A couple of years ago, she reportedly shelled out more than $8 million for a five-bedroom home in Beverly Hills, CA. And the New York City rumor mill recently had Lawrence running around Tribeca looking for a luxury rental.
Lawrence, who starred in the blockbuster “Hunger Games” franchise, won the Oscar for best actress for her role in 2012’s “Silver Linings Playbook.” She will star in “Passengers,” a sci-fi film slated for release later this year.
