Home-resale prices across metro Denver averaged 8.7 percent in September from a year earlier, almost the same yearly gain as the month before, according to the latest S&P/Case-Shiller Home Prices Indices report, issued Tuesday. Nationally, home prices finally surpassed their pre-recession peak, the report said.
