You Must See This Million-Dollar Replica of the Old West!

Blue Star Ranch

When the present day has you in the dumps, time travel holds extra-special appeal. While we can’t provide a DeLorean, we ask that you behold Blue Star Ranch, a replica Old West town on 13 acres now on the market in Kingman, AZ, for just a hair over a million bucks.

“It makes you feel like you go back in time,” says ranch owner Barbara Polumbo.

Polumbo has owned the parcel for the past 11 years, but health issues are forcing her to let go of the beloved property. “I’m not an emotional buyer,” says Polumbo, a retired real estate agent. “When I walked on the property, I knew I needed to be here. It was just like magic.”

The $1,000,900 price tag includes the circa 1880s Old West town and all its antiques, as well as a pony!

The property, which is zoned for commercial and recreational use, could make for a boffo “Westworld” bed-and-breakfast. It also includes plenty of space for an RV park, and even boarding for traveling equine companions. (This apparently is a thing. )

Or, a buyer could choose to keep it as a private retreat. Polumbo did a little of both, opening it up as a guest ranch for friends to enjoy the one-of-a-kind vacation spot.

“I’ve had people stay here,” she says. “It’s just different. There’s no busy land (nearby). People like it.”

Located about three hours from Phoenix, the rural compound was completed in 1990 by the former owner. It includes a two-level Victorian home, three guesthouses, an office, a carriage house, a horse barn, and an aviary.

The Old West strip includes a barber shop, post office, dentist office, general store, and sheriff’s office. Antique fire engines, two fountains, gazebos, and a real caboose add vintage charm. The property’s listing agent is Karen Lopez.

“Everything’s for sale,” Lopez says. “It’s in perfect condition. Everything’s freshly painted, new roofs put on. It looks really sharp these days.”

All the furnishings, including many antiques, come with the place. And if you also want this adorable pony named Rap (short for Arapahoe), you can have a pony. A pony with a piece of property? This has become a deal impossible to simply let gallop away.

Potential buyers can find plenty of ways to entertain themselves in the park, or just take in the natural beauty. However, for Polumbo, the best thing to do is sit in a rocking chair on the porch, taking in the peace and quiet.

“At night you can sit outside and see the stars. It’s tranquil,” she says. “It’s now my turn to let somebody else enjoy it here like I got to enjoy it.”
